RESTORATIVE JUSTICE SPECIALIST (she/her)
Amelia Mumina Marie is a leader, teacher, and consultant with years of experience healing communities, encouraging connectivity, and facilitating peacebuilding processes in myriad settings (churches, schools, non-profit organizations, and more). She attended seminary at the Graduate Theological Union, UC Berkeley, and graduated from Starr King School for the Ministry with both a Masters of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Social Change.
Amelia believes in the transformative power of Restorative Justice and other circle processes to make real and lasting change and brings a collaborative approach to all of her work. Her passion for mediation, healing, and conflict resolution began back in high school; even in her early career as a dancer this was somehow always at the heart of her professional world and way of being, she is committed to a life of service. In 2017, Amelia founded Dare to Bless the Love, a counter-oppressive, radically inclusive community centered in embodied practice and working to expand and support future possibilities in religious leadership, collective liberation, and social change.
Motivated by a deep love of young people, all sorts of families, infinite possibility, teaching, and learning, Amelia is honored to be joining the team at CCEJ and admires the lived values and unique contributions of this wonderful community. In her spare time, Amelia enjoys yoga, cooking, walking, dancing, singing, and practicing for the revolution.
