Location: CCEJ Office, 3605 Long Beach Blvd, Suite 100; Long Beach, CA 90807
We require all participants to provide proof of vaccination, including boosters, prior to attending in-person programming and wear a mask for the entirety of programming. A full copy of our COVID safety policies will be sent to all registrants prior to training.
Description: This training combines our Trauma Sensitivity for Restorative Practices and our Restorative Dialogue Trainings into a full day of knowledge and skill-building. First, participants are introduced to basic trauma theory and the embodied effects of traumagenetic experiences while providing opportunities to connect with personal and collective resiliency practices. Participants explore key principles fundamental to a trauma-informed approach and reflect on how restorative practices, including Circles, can be used as a trauma-sensitive modality.
We will then explore the following dialogue skills that affirm positive relationships and provide interventions to shift relationships towards accountability and self-directed actions: Affective Statements, Restorative Questions, Active Listening, and Motivational Interviewing.
Cost & Registration: $215/person. For full day trainings, morning refreshments and lunch will be provided. If you do not communicate with us and do not show up for your training session, we will be unable to issue a refund.
Registration closes five business days before the workshop takes place.
